From Lima, the group travelled south to ‘The White City’ of Arequipa, and took in the spectacular volcanic scenery of the Colca Canyon, where they were lucky enough to get great photos of llamas and alpacas. Journeying on to majestic Lake Titicaca, home to the amazing floating reed Uros Islands, the famil continued to the ancient Inca capital of Cusco, and through the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. The group experienced two different properties in the city of Puerto Maldonado, the capital of the Madre de Dios region, and gateway to the southern Amazon jungle. They were lucky enough to spot capybara, (the world’s largest living rodent) and the famous giant river otters on Oxbow Lake.IMAGE:L-R: Dan Zadow (Famil Host – Bunnik Tours), Kellie Hayes (Escape Travel Mountain Creek), Kaya Russell (Bunnik Tours), Alyx Hardman (Flight Centre Mount Barker), Fatima Trasmonte Maltese (Coltur Peru), Rebel Jenkins (Bunnik Tours), Christine Mangan (Helloworld Torquay), Nicole Mirams-Harrison (Helloworld Corrimal)last_img
